The NSYP program is designed to provide parents who are either pregnant or parenting children aged 0-5 with the necessary skills to support themselves and their children. Parents participate in activities promoting positive parenting skills, such as nurturing behaviors, healthy physical and emotional development, and appropriate role and developmental expectations.

Our parent-child activities are designed around The Palmetto Basics, which consist of five key principles that experts believe are crucial for children from birth to the age of three. These Basics are five fun, simple, and effective ways that any family can implement to ensure that each child has a strong start in life.

The NSYP program is a free Earn as You Learn program where participants can earn Baby Bucks for their participation. These Baby Bucks can purchase various items from our Baby Boutique, such as diapers, baby equipment, and household supplies. Participants will be provided dinner before group sessions, and on-site childcare will be available when possible.
